Your Legacy & Planned Giving
Planned Giving
Planned giving provides an opportunity to sustain the future of Midcoast Community Chorus’s singing community through your estate. It enables you to make a lasting contribution to the vitality of the chorus and the enrichment of our community in ways that fit your budget and your family’s future plans. We invite you to consider how you can make such a long term difference as you review your personal financial plans.
Your Charitable Goals
As you plan for the future, you will want to ensure that the assets you have worked hard to build will be used for the causes that mean the most to you and where you can make a significant impact. If you love singing, bringing our community together, and supporting worthy local charities, sustaining Midcoast Community Chorus is a compelling way to advance those worthy goals for the future. Because the chorus offers low cost choral experiences for singers, while providing high caliber concerts and financial support to local charities, your gift will surely make a lasting difference in our capacity to build community.
Making Your Personal Choices
Making a planned gift is fairly simple, but it requires you to make consequential choices now about the future distribution of your property and assets at the end of your life. Postponing those choices could result in the state distributing your assets according to legal rules, not your personal choices. Regular review and revision or your plans as life circumstances change is also important to make sure that your wishes reflect your current priorities.
Planning Together
If you are comfortable doing so, we would appreciate the opportunity to discuss a possible planned gift with you—to answer your questions, to reflect on what the chorus means to you, and to coordinate the process of making your planned gift. Any size gift is greatly appreciated, and we will maintain the confidentiality of your gift, unless you tell us otherwise. To discuss further, contact Roy Hitchings or Ted Long of the Midcoast Community Chorus Development Committee, or Executive Director Anna Jones at info@mccsings.org, by phone at

How it Works
Planned gifts may be designated in your will or trust, and in your choice of beneficiaries of your life insurance or retirement accounts. A variety of assets may be gifted, including cash, stocks and bonds, real estate and tangible personal property. You may designate gifts in fixed amounts, percentages of your estate or the residue after all other estate commitments have been fulfilled.
As always, you should consult a financial planner or attorney to assist in setting up the appropriate vehicles and asset distributions. Once your designations are formalized, please inform Midcoast Community Chorus of your anticipated gift so the chorus has a record of your intent and an opportunity to recognize your generosity. Likewise, please let us know if you change your distribution to the MCC at any time.
With your help, the Midcoast Community Chorus can become a sustainable organization that will provide singing opportunities for many years to come!
