Last spring a fellow tenor told me that the previous fall he was driving home from the memorial service for a close friend and feel very sad, until he put in this MCC concert CD. He told me that "suddenly the music took him to a spiritual place." I suspect this same thing is why we continue to sell out our inspiring concerts.
Roy Hitchings, Chorus Member
The Midcoast Community Chorus is a membership-based non-profit organization that invites membership by both singer and non-singers.
Annual Memberships are $80 a semester for singers and $80 for a year for non-singers.
Singer memberships are payable at the time of MCC Chorus semester registration. Non-singers memberships coincide with the concert season, running from August through July and can be paid at any time during the year.
Chorus memberships are not tax deductible since goods and services are received in exchange; a portion of non-singer memberships are tax deductible.
All membership benefits include the right to vote on issues brought before the annual or specially convened meetings or written communications, as well as the opportunity to purchase concert tickets in advance of the general public. Singer membership benefits include the privilege to participate in rehearsals and concerts.
Members are also encouraged to support MCCs overall activities through tax deductible gifts to the Annual Appeal, Director's Circle memberships, or other appeals for financial support.
